Obligatory SAG awards red carpet review!

I love awards season. In all honesty, the red carpet is almost always better than the awards themselves. So let's get down to business!

I didn't know where to put AngieJo. I like her Jenny Packham dress but she looks like she wants to suck my blood before she passes out from malnutrition. I guess I'm undecided with Angelina.
Eek. Guuurl eat a Kalteen
bar or something.

Ok, onto the lists!

My "give your stylist a raise so you look this fabulous for the Oscars" awards go to:
SAG Awards Best Dressed 2012

10. Ashley Simpson in Jenny Packham (It pains me to say it because she bugs me like no other, but she looks good from H-to-T.)
9. Jayma Mays in Reem Acra (I don't know who this is but this dress is fabulous. My best guess is that she's on Glee.)
8. Melissa McCarthy in Badgley Mischka (the color, fit, style, and fabric are perfect. Her hair and makeup are great, too.)
7. Kyra Sedgwick in Pucci (Rocking the tangerine trend, this woman looks fantastic. My only qualm is with her hair: You're too old for long locks. They age you and you're starting to look ridiculous.)
6. Julie Bowen in Temperly (I can't believe that she finally got it right! The color is unexpected and completely perfect. While she's verging on scary skinny, I love how this gown drapes and how she kept the accessories to a minimum.)
5. Diane Lane in David Meister (I have just one wish: to age like Diane Lane. She looks beyond in blue.)
4. Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka (She's never looked better in my opinion. Her hair doesn't even bother me! Whoever tailored this gown deserves an award. Hats off to Kelly's styling team!)
3. Sarah Hyland in Temperly (I love her and I love LOVE this dress. It's age appropriate, her hair and makeup are fantastic, and her accessories are delicate and simple. I can't wait to see her fashion choices evolve.)
2. Amber Heard in Zac Posen (This dress could have SO easily gone the trashy route but Ms. Heard made it work and then some. Perfection.)
And the best dressed award goes to...
2012 SAG Awards Best Dressed Emma Stone

1. EMMA STONE in custom Alexander McQueen! (The Stone Bone did it again. Head to toe perfection in my favorite designer. Her hair is stunning, her makeup is beyond, and her dress is 100% pure perfection. Best dressed without a doubt.)

My "find out why your stylist hates you" awards go to:
SAG Awards Worst Dressed 2012

10. Kaley Cuoco in Romona Keveza (The pastel color is on trend but she looks like Heidi on the top and a quinceanera cake on the bottom. The matchey-matchey clutch is just too much.)
9. Glenn Close in Zac Posen (Four words: mother of the bride. I didn't know they sold gowns at Casual Corner!)
8. Tilda Swinton in Lanvin (She's one handful of rhinestones away from being on the remake of Dallas. But Tilda clearly doesn't care.)
7. Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Haute Couture (I get it. Couture is supposed to be avant garde, different, and edgy, but this is just nonsense.)
6. Jenna Ushkowitz in Rebecca Minkoff (I don't watch Glee so I don't know who this trick is but she should stick to one trend. Her mixing of mesh and cutouts makes my head hurt.)
5. Meryl Streep in Vivienne Westwood (I love her. She seems like the nicest person in Hollywood but this just looks like a hazmat suit. And an ill-fitting one at that. I'm sorry, Meryl.)
4. Maya Rudolph in Naeem Kahn(I love her. She's funny and gorge. This dress is just funny. It's ill fitting and doesn't accentuate any of her gorgeous assets.)
3. Heather Morris in Masai Payan (You look like a blonde Elvira. No. Just no. Your stylist hates you and you're an idiot for not figuring that out.)
2. Rose Byrne in Elie Saab (Damages is seriously one of my all time favorite shows and I ADORE Rose Byrne. While I admire her fashion-forward chutzpah, this is just too much. Either embellish the top or the bottom. She looks like a Christmas tree angel moonlighting as a Liza Minelli impersonator.)
And the worst dressed honors belong to...
2012 SAG Awards Worst Dressed Lea Michele

1. Lea Michele! in Versace (Trick, you look ridiculous. Don't even go home and try again. Just go home. You aren't built for Ver-sayce. Nomi Malone would not approve.)

So there you have it! Another awards show, another best/worst list! I know that I'm not one to judge (I'm wearing Juicy sweats and a Hello Kitty tee watching Extreme Couponing) but this right here is my bread and butter. Designer dresses, hot messes, and pretty sparklies make me happy :)

Oh, and a BIG super special thank you to JustJared.com for once again providing me with fantastic red carpet photos!

Oomf that was exhausting! Check back for superfabulousfunstuffs this week and expect a live blog of the Grammy red carpet in February! Until then, keep sending me your fashion dilemmas, questions, and love!
Love, always
